Skilled Volunteering in the East Kimberley

As part of our commitment to our Reconciliation Action Plan, NAB has partnered with Jawun in the East Kimberley region, Western Australia. NAB provides a number of skilled volunteers with the opportunity to work on short term secondments on Indigenous social and economic development projects, assisting Aboriginal people in remote communities.

Jawun works closely with local Indigenous Social Development organisations to utilise corporate skilled volunteers to complete a range of local projects focused on building capacity in the region.

In 2010, NAB sent 14 skilled volunteers to complete a variety of projects with in the East Kimberley region. This year NAB will send 16 skilled volunteers to continue the great work from our first year of partnership with Jawun.

NAB’s experience is applied to secondments across:

HR and Training
Strategy and Planning
Project Management
Marketing and Communications
Financial/Governance
Other specialist skills

Skilled volunteering is a particular area of focus for NAB. If you are from a not for profit organisation and could benefit from NAB Skilled Volunteers please make contact with us. Have you undertaken Skilled Volunteering before? What kind of opportunities or environments appeal to you?
